Lumigent & LeaseTeam: How it Works

Critical data is stored in databases, and this data is growing at ever-increasing rates. At the same time, more accountability for this data is demanded of organizations from key stakeholders, including customers, partners, auditors and regulators. These challenges demand a comprehensive, unimpeachable audit record that lets you know how data assets are accessed, and that they are used appropriately.

Data auditing helps mitigate the significant business risks associated with the use of data assets and with regulatory compliance including fraud, failed audits, lost customers and loss of brand/reputation. Audit DB mitigates these risks by providing a comprehensive audit trail of critical data activity, including data access, data changes, data viewing (who's looking at what data) and changes to database structure -- a critical component of today's risk management initiatives.


Audit DB modules
Depending on your needs, LeaseTeam back-end system users may choose from three separate Audit DB modules.

Audit DB SML Module
The DML module collects and creates an audit trail for all selected data modifications. In this way, you are alerted to changes that have been made to the data in your database (e.g. contract status changes). This module is the most popular with LeaseTeam customers.

Audit DB SELECTS Module
The SELECTS module collects and creates an audit trail of all SELECT commands, allowing users to see who is actually accessing/viewing certain data in the system via an application or report.
Audit DB DDL Module
This module collects and creates an audit trail for structural and permission changes -- for instance, changes made to tables or columns by internal employees. Organizations with multiple administrators value this module because of the risk that the structure of a database could change. (NOTE: The Audit DB DDL Module can also identify changes by applying upgrade scripts when users move from one version to the next, however; most users are focused on internal changes.)
